Omsk Airport (Tsentralny) is one of the oldest Russian airline companies, the official foundation date of the airport is May 17, 1929.
Joint Stock Company "Omsk Airport" is a large company in Siberian Federal District. Omsk (Tsentralny) is included into the list of top thirty of the best Russian airports on the carriage of passengers, cargo and mail freight.

In 2011 the reconstruction of the airport complex took place that resulted in increased acceptance rate from 240 to 800 passengers per hour. In the same year, new places of aircraft parking were put in operation, which allowed to remove the restrictions on the reception of certain types of foreign aircrafts, as well as to minimize the time of towing the aircrafts with low-lying engines.
In June 2012 the international terminal was overhauled. At the same time in the right wing of the internal airline terminal the international checkpoint was organized. These activities gave the opportunity significantly to improve the quality of passenger service. The increased intensity of international flights has been the result of it. In the same year the Terminal square was reconstructed, on its territory an automated parking complex was put into operation.
In 2013 the license to service the aircraft of A321 type was gained. In April the Aviation Engineering Service of Omsk Airport received European certification EASA Part-145, which allowed to independently carry out maintenance of Boeing 737 in accordance with the rules and requirements of European Aviation Authorities (EASA).
The work on creation of permanent customs control zones at "self-propelled" parking places was carried out in 2014, that reduced the share of towed aircrafts on international flights, and their service time, the license was gained to receive Boeing 767 of the two hundredth and three hundredth modifications and Boeing 767-300ER . In December, for the first time since the beginning of the 1990s Omsk airport has served its millionth passenger.
In 2016 the airport was awarded the diploma of the winner of the third prize in the category “The Best Airport 2015 "(in the category of "regional airport", up to 2 million passengers per year).
JSC "Omsk Airport" has repeatedly won in various categories of the competition "The CIS Best Airport", organized by the "Airport" Association.
